Raglan Museum usually closes its doors to visitors in late afternoon. On May 10 it opened its doors at 6pm for the evening launch of a stunning exhibition of hard stone sculpture by two local sculptors. About 30 people attended to the opening to check out work by Richard Page and Gene Pospisil. The organisers had hoped that Tai Meuli would have work on display but a last-minute change in plans saw Tai give his apologies.
Museum President Pat Day opened the exhibition saying that this was the third exhibition of local art work to be held in the museum. Richard Page then gave some commentary on his works saying that the theme of the exhibition was symmetry. Gene then described his art works.
The exhibition will be on display at the museum in Wainui Road, Raglan from 10 May until 31 July. Entrance via the Raglan i-SITE.
